While filming Are You A Pilgrim?, director and protagonist Gian D. Ceccato was profoundly touched by a group of Japanese pilgrims he met on the Christian pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. They had come to walk in the aftermath the powerful 2011 earthquake and tsunami to pray for the souls of who had died. Continuing the journey he began with Are You A Pilgrim?, Gian will undertake the spiritually and physically arduous journey of Shikoku Henro-michi—the oldest and most famous Buddhist pilgrimage in Japan, in the footsteps of Kõbõ Daishi. Filming is set to begin later this year, with an expected release in 2017. Stay tuned!
